Hey, it's been quite a long time since i posted something. Today i just wanna introduce my newest boyfriend. I know most of my imaginary bf's age are above 20 (most are like 30 something) but this time he's 175 years old. Yeah, you read that right. Anyway let me just introduce him. 

Damon Salvatore!  (played by Ian Somerhalder)

Yeah, it's the badass vampire from The Vampire Diaries. I know i'm kinda late for this. I mean TVD will begin their 4th season this October and i just watched the 1st-3rd season this month. First time i watched this show i feel like watching Twilight all over again. Same old plot. Vampire came into town, met a girl in high school, fell in love, blah blah blah. Just as i thought i wanna stop, come this incredibly hot, sexy, badass vampire. Damon Salvatore came with syle, he just arrived and kicked Stefan's (The main character and Damon's little brother. whom, in my opinion look and act too much like Edward Cullen) ass. Damon's first sentence is "Hello brother" and with that he made me fell for him. 

Damon came as villain, he killed people, torture Elena's (The 'girl' in this show, who's more badass and hundreds time more useful than Bella Swan) friends, he make Mystic Fall (the town's name) a mess and i still love him. I mean how many characters that will be the future love interest of the main character used to be a killer? None that i know of. Usually i don't like the overly arrogant character but Damon just has a way that make you love him more and more.

Damon came to make his brother's life miserable because he "changed" him to be a vampire. He swore 145 years ago that he'll do anything to make Stefan's life hell and he did. Trust me, he did. First, he taunt Stefan and Elena, slept with Elena's bestfriend, killed Jeremy's (Elena's little brother) girlfriend and killed MANY people in town just to make Stefan feels guilty and uncomfortable around Elena, he tells Elena about Stefan's ex-girlfriend, Katherine (and his ex too) who look exactly like Elena (both played by the talented Nina Dobrev), killed Jeremy (who came back to life), killed Elens's best friend's grandmother, killed Elena's biological mother (who is a total bitch), killed Stefan's oldest best friend and finally to take the final blow to destroy Stefan, he makes Elena fall for him (though Damon himself is oblivious to this fact)

Damon's character changes as the show goes. His place in Elena's life change from the boyfriend's brother to sort of friend to enemy to friend to enemy again to friend again to best friend to protector and finally to the love of her life (Yeah, i'm all for Damon-Elena or at least Damon-Katherine cause Stefan's too boring to be with either woman). He tried to be a good man, he tried to be the man everyone wanted him to be but in the end, he's not. He's still that slightly bad guy. He's not saint-stefan and i think people around him finally begin to accept him and love him just the way he is.

Anyway, to end this post. I just wanna say that i never love a character before as much as i love Damon. Not even Dean, Peeta, Four or Jace. Honestly, they're no match for THE Damon Salvatore. If you haven't watch TVD yet, you have to. It's quite a great show, maybe a little boring at first but it gets interesting as it goes.

Insurgent

 Now i wanna tell you about the sequel of Divergent, i'm sure you've read my last post where i express my feeling when i read Insurgent. Seriously though Insurgent is full of surprises and if you haven't read the book yet maybe you shouldn't read this post cause' i'll give you oh so much spoilers.

Anyway in this second book Veronica Roth decided to give us more heart attack. The story continues from when Tris and friends (including her hot boyfriend, Four) running away from Erudite and Dauntless-traitor. In this book we can see and feel how Tris traumatized by everything that happened. She grieves for her parents's death. She’s also trying to cope with the guilt of having to kill a friend and it slowly kills her because she can't talk to anyone about it. She's scared that if someone know that she killed her best friend they'll look at her differently and think of her as a coward. She can't forgive herself and the guilt is slowly killing her. She can't touch a gun without seeing Will's face when she shot him and that's really heartbreaking.

The plot though is insane. When i say that the book is full of surprises i'm not kidding. It will either make you love the book even more or think that Veronica Roth has gone too far.The surprise goes from the sudden appearance of Tobias supposedly dead mother, Evelyn Eaton who apparently is the leader of factionless. it seems like the factionless 'member' are gathering together and it make their number bigger than any faction. Then the story goes crazy again when Tris almost kill herself countless times. Sure what she does is very useful but it changes her. She slowly become the Dauntless Tris rather than Divergent Tris. She'll risk her lives for information, lie to Tobias more time than i care to count and stalking Marcus.

But no matter how crazy Tris has become she still a normal girl with feelings and i love Veronica Roth for not making her a killing machine. She doesn't wanna kill people if it's not necessary and even if it is she still try to just hurt them not kill them. Tris also not a holy person she makes mistake and she realize them, regret them but she moves on, she also has trust issue when it comes to Tobias parents. She doesn't trust Evelyn and while she's curious about Marcus's intention she still hates him. 

Oh and for those who are looking for the love story between Tris and Four you'll either relieved that there's no third party here (usually every book i've read has a third party to make the main characters relationship a mess) or you'll bit your nail cause Tris and Four fighting ALL THE TIME here. They refuse to tell each other their secrets (which i'm agree with cause it won't be a secret anymore if you tell someone plus there's something called 'privacy' you know) but Tobias always demand Tris to spill all her secrets and thank God she didn't. Oh and there's Tris problem with keeping promises. She lie so many times to Tobias, usually she lie to him saying she won't do anything stupid but she did it anyway and almost kill herself in the procces.

But apart from all that ,the thing that really shock me is Caleb's betrayal. I mean c'mon how can i don't see that coming? I already kind of figure things out when i read a book but this really shock me. Caleb, Tris's only living family member is a traitor. Which makes me pity tris even more. Her parents are dead, her brother is a traitor, her boyfriend doesn't trust her when she said she need information from Marcus, her best friend hates her because she kill her other best friend, and her enemy has make her number one target not to mention she has to see people who has becomes her friends died partly because of her and oh yeah she's being tortured by our beloved Jeaniene. Tris's live is seriously screwed. 

Oh and the ending. well can't say too much about that since i'm also a little confused by the whole 'Edith Prior' thing. Who the hell is Edith Prior? sure she has Tris's surname but in which way is she related to Tris? Is she her grandmother? from which side? from what i can remember, her father's mother is from Erudite which very unlikely to be Edith Prior . I think Edith Prior might be from Abnegation or even Dauntless, well, Tris's grandmother from her mother's side is a Dauntless leader. But i don't really understand. I mean it must be her grandmother right? it was mention that she's the second generation of Prior which makes her parents the first generation and her grandmother the 'original'. Well, i dunno maybe i just have to wait for Veronica Roth's explanation in the third book that will be publish in fall 2013.

Divergent

Ok everyone, this is my new favorite book and trust me when i say that i enjoy this book more than The Hunger Games.  At first i bought this book because my friend told me to, he said and i quote "This book is bloody amazing and i swear to God you'll regret ur whole life if you don't read this book" I thought he exaggerate but damn, he's totally right. Ok, here's the synopsis and do not judge this book from it's synopsis cause' the whole story is so much more amazing

The world that Verinica Roth created for DIVERGENT takes place in a dystopian society set in Chicago. In this society, people are divided into factions. There are five factions. Those who blamed aggression formed Amity; those who blamed ignorance became the Erudite; those who blamed duplicity created Candor; those who blamed selfishness made Abnegation; and those who blamed cowardice were the Dauntless.  Each faction is for people with certain personalities and attitude. But you have a choice to choose for yourself which way you want to go and how you want to live your life. On the annual Choosing Day, every 16-year-old must choose to join one of the five pre-determined factions. They can choose to stay with their family or leave them and be seen as traitors. For some people it's obvious where they belong and it's clear what to choose without even having to think about it, but for a certain kind of people like Tris, the "Divergent rebels", it's not so easy to choose.

What i really really love about this book is how the author develop her characters. For example Tris, the stiff, a girl whom everyone see as a loser become this amazing girl whom everyone see as a threat and don't you think that the author exaggerate her character. No. Tris is always a brave and amazingly smart person since the begining but unfortunately for her, she's from Abnegation and to move to Dauntless, everyone only see her as the stiff (their nickname for Abnegation people) but slowly she gained confidence and show everyone who she really is. I honestly love Tris even more than Katniss. What i love is that she's sure of herself, she doesn't regret her choice, well maybe sometimes she does but with a damn good reason. 

Tris always see herself as a selfish person which is proved to be very wrong. She's very selfless but only to her love ones and i really like that. I mean how much main character in a story that could be cruel and cold when she needed to be, not to mention she doesn't regret what she did no matter how ruthless it is . She's unforgivable. One of her friends did a mistake, a big one, and she coldly refuse his apology. very coldly. And when she has a chance to fight her enemy she doesn't hold back, she beat her up really good and doesn't even feel a silght guilt. And the other amazing thing is that Veronica Roth (the author) didn't make any love triangle which is very good and she also didn't make the love story as a main problem, no, there's a bigger problem here. Tris and Four (Tris's instructor and super hot -my new imaginary bf- boyfriend) do have their sweet moment but they don't realy cuddle,etc nor they fight all the time and suddenly got together. But this couple is seriously one of the best couple that i grow to love more than Katniss and Peeta.

Anyway, the 2nd book already came out last month in english, guess i have to wait at least a few months to get the indonesian copy but screw that i'll just buy the english one -___- from what i've heard Insurgent is just as amazing as divergent but with a bigger problem and with a more reckless Tris, whom begin to show her Dauntless side more and more. Can't wait to read that.

This novel is by far the most amazing novel i've ever read. Well perhaps some of potterheads aren't agree with me but i never read harry potter anyway so yeah this novel is THAT amazing. Now i've fallen for a fictional character again. Peeta Mellark, that's my new bf name. He's the sweetest guy i've ever read and normally i don't fall for sweet guys but peeta is of course special. Anyway, this is the synopsis :

Katniss is a 16-year-old girl living with her mother and younger sister in the poorest district of Panem, the remains of what used be the United States. Long ago the districts waged war on the Capitol and were defeated. As part of the surrender terms, each district agreed to send one boy and one girl to appear in an annual televised event called, "The Hunger Games." The terrain, rules, and level of audience participation may change but one thing is constant: kill or be killed. When Katniss's sister is chosen by lottery, Katniss steps up to go in her place and so she enter The Hunger Games with her fellow tribute from District 12, Peeta Mellark.

If you haven't read the book yet, go on read it cause the movie will come out in a few months. And there's so many amazing character here, hell even the 'bad guy' is amazing. And i'll seriously think you're crazy if don't fall in love with either Peeta Mellark or Gale Hawthorne, i personaly love Peeta but i still think that Gale is a great guy. He has temper but still my type of a guy.
