 Blink 182 have opened up about the reasons behind their split in 2005. Speaking to Radio One, the punk rockers' guitarist/vocalist Tom DeLonge explained: "The reason the band broke up was really stupid in the first place, it's not like anybody had sex with each other's wives, though for how bad we hated each other that should have been what happened." ''The band got so big that the machine running the band took over," added Tom. "We were burnt out, we needed a break, but the machine won't let you do that. The band had stopped communicating because the machine was so big." The ban recently announced that their upcoming new album will be entitled Neighborhoods. ''The album's amazing," says Tom. "If you like our music, it's our best work by far." "It's very modern," says the vocalist, "very relevant to rock music today, but we made sure to throw a couple of songs in there that sound like they're from the mid 90s.
